Lakshmi PujanVidhi:
We recommend you to start Diwali Puja by finding a place in your house where you would like to do the Pujan. You can use the Mandir area in your home to perform Lakshmi Pujan.
The next step is to clean the stain with Ganga Jal (water) or running water. Spread a piece of yellow or red coloured cloth on a wooden platform. Create a small Rangoli made from rice flour.
Respectfully place the idol or photo of Goddess Lakshmi Jee on the platform. Put a handful of beads on the platform rather than the right or left of it.
The next step will be to prepare a 'Kalash' and fill it with clean water, a supari, a calendula flower, a silver coin and rice. You should also keep five mango leaves, which will be used in the Kalash. Place a whole coconut, with the coir sticking up, so that the mango leaves are partially in and partially out facing up.
Prepare a Pooja Thaali, using chaawal (placed in a pile) and with the help of Haldi(Turmeric Powder), draw lotus flower on the plate. Once your drawing is complete, gracefully place your beautiful idol on top of it.
